At the 2024 BET Awards, Taraji P. Henson mixed up influencer Jordan Howlett with Internet food critic Keith Lee.
While honoring people during the event, Henson thought she was talking to Keith Lee but it turned out to be Jordan Howlett.
Howlett nervously laughed and pointed to Lee, which made Henson apologize, saying she got mixed up. Lee accepted the flower from Henson, but later posted and deleted a TikTok where he dropped it on the floor.
In the video, he wrote, "Our name will be known in every right place, at the right time, with no confusion. God is amazing."
He posted another video on Monday expressing his feelings about the moment.
Lee also blamed the show’s producers for the awkward moment.
Henson responded to his video in an Instagram comment, stating, “Life really is too short for this behavior,” and explaining how things were supposed to turnout that day.
