2024 is turning out to be a great year for Usher! The R&B star has been nominated for three Emmy Awards for his amazing performance at the Super Bowl Halftime show.
Usher's show, influenced by Atlanta and featuring guests such as Alicia Keys, H.E.R., and Ludacris, is nominated across several categories: Outstanding Variety Special (Live), Outstanding Lighting Design, and Outstanding Technical Direction.
This is the fifth year in a row that the Super Bowl halftime show has been nominated for Outstanding Variety Special (Live). In 2013, Beyoncé's Super Bowl halftime show won the Emmy for Outstanding Lighting Design.
Usher's performance will be competing against other big names like the Grammy Awards, The Oscars, and the Tony Awards. The 76th Emmy Awards will be held live at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 15, airing on ABC and available for streaming on Hulu the next day.
