Is President Biden's Health Exam a Cause for Confidence or Concern?

Polls indicate voters have concerns about President Biden, the oldest president in the country’s history ability to serve four more years if he wins in 2024.

President Biden, 81, was declared "fit for duty" on Wednesday by his longtime doctor, who reported that the president had undergone an "extremely detailed" examination. Biden's three-hour session with doctors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, marked his second extensive exam since assuming office in January 2021.

Biden expressed his satisfaction with the results of his physical, stating, "Everything went well... Thank God for small favors," during an interview with NBC News. The examination received significant attention as Biden prepares for a potential second term in 2024.

The summary of the examination noted that Biden did not exhibit any "long COVID" symptoms, and his stiff gait had not worsened since his last check-up in November 2021. The president's current weight is reported to be 178 pounds.

As the oldest president in the country's history, Biden faces widespread concerns about his age as he campaigns for reelection. A recent special counsel report described him as a "well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,"
