Kansas City Chief's Win Super bowl LVIII

LAS VEGAS- The NFL saw the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl for the second time in a row. The Kansas City Chiefs secured their status as the best team in the country by winning their third Super Bowl in five seasons by defeating the San Francisco 49ers with a 25-22 score in overtime at Allegiant Stadium last night, on February 11, 2024.

Similar to the last two victories for Kansas City and their star player Patrick Mahomes, this win involved a comeback in the second half. Jake Moody's 27-yard field goal initially put the 49ers ahead 22-19 in overtime. However, the Chiefs responded with a 13-play, 75-yard drive, ultimately winning with a 3-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes to Mecole Hardman.

Mahomes, who had an outstanding performance, earned his third Super Bowl MVP. He completed 34 out of 46 passes for 333 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, giving him a 99.3 passer rating. Mahomes is now in the company of Tom Brady and Joe Montana as the only players to win three Super Bowl MVP awards.

This victory also places Mahomes among the elite quarterbacks in history, becoming one of only five to win at least three Super Bowls. Joining the ranks of Brady, Montana, Terry Bradshaw, and Troy Aikman, Mahomes, at the age of 28, is one of the few to achieve this feat before turning 30. In the last two postseasons, Mahomes has an impressive record of 7-0, throwing 13 touchdowns and only one interception.

Mecole Hardman says he didn't realize he caught the game winning catch " I Blacked Out" he says.

After the game, Mahomes emphasized that the Chiefs are never underdogs. The team's owner, Clark Hunt, described the Super Bowl as one of the most thrilling he has ever seen during the trophy presentation
