Kanye "Ye" West Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Physical Altercation

Kanye "Ye" West is facing a lawsuit from a man who alleges that he was punched twice by the rapper after approaching him in Downtown Los Angeles.

Legal documents, as reported by The Blast, reveal that Justin Poplawski and his wife Tiffany Marshall have filed a lawsuit in L.A. County courts, citing charges of assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, and loss of consortium.

The incident occurred on January 13, 2022, near the Soho Warehouse in DTLA. Poplawski, identified as a "well-respected autograph dealer," claims to have previously obtained an autograph from Kanye West without any issues. However, this time, the encounter took a different turn, leading to the legal action.

West is accused of "physically assaulting, harming, battering, and injuring Poplawski, with the intent of committing such assault, harm, battery, and injury, when, without limitation, unlawfully and intentionally struck him. He is alleged to have physically and violently attacked and battered him, repeatedly striking him while he was defenseless and in fear for his safety, causing the plaintiff to sustain damages."
